Adam Schiff accuses Bill Barr of lying about threat of foreign interference in election

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) exploded in rage during a recent CNN interview, accusing Attorney General Bill Barr of lying about the threat China poses to the 2020 election.

Barr revealed last week that he believes intelligence proves that China poses the largest threat to election security, followed by Russia and Iran.

Schiff, who was one of the most vocal and dedicated proponents of the Russia collusion conspiracy theory and the Ukraine impeachment scheme, refuses to accept Barr’s statement because it destroys a growing narrative within the Democrat party that Russia will attempt to influence the 2020 election in Trump’s favor.

“That’s just a plain false statement by the attorney general, a flat-out false statement,” Schiff said. “What Bill Barr just did in that statement was just flat-out mislead the American people.”

Schiff attacked Barr’s position, saying that it is “such a disservice to the country that we can’t trust our own attorney general … But apparently Bill Barr is willing to do anything or say anything to help Donald Trump.”

Democrats repeatedly refuse to acknowledge the growing body of evidence that China is aggressively anti-American and far more powerful on the global stage than Russia is currently.

Asked if he believes Barr is outright lying, Schiff responded “I hesitate to say that, but that is the reality,” he said.

Vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris also floated the tired theory that Russia could again interfere in the 2020 election, saying during a Sunday interview that “I do believe that there will be foreign interference in the 2020 election and that Russia will be at the front of the line.”

Democrats have made it clear that there is no scenario in which they will allow Trump to claim legitemate victory, attacking the integrity of the election on every side with just two months to go until election day.
