Rioters attempt to breach Arizona Capitol, lawmakers trapped inside by violent protestors

Congress is currently attempting to make political hay out of the Jan. 6, 2021 incursion at the U.S. Capitol. Meanwhile, anti-life protesters are staging actual riots that they roundly ignore.

Rioters attempted to breach the Arizona capitol building during a session of the state Senate Friday, Breitbart reported. Pro-abortion advocates were protesting the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade announced earlier that day.

“We are currently there being held hostage inside the Senate building due to members of the public trying to breach our security,” GOP state senator Kelly Townsend, who is pro-life, tweeted Friday. Protestors had gathered outside and were pounding on the glass.

“We smell teargas and the children of one of the members are in the office sobbing with fear,” Townsend continued. “I expect a J24 committee to be created immediately.”

State Senator Wendy Rogers reported that they “assembled to take the tunnel to the House” to avoid the coming onslought. However, police were able to break up the riot using tear gas forcing the protesters instead to vandalize monuments at Wesley Bolin Plaza, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Though this incident prevented the session from continuing and is much closer to an insurrection than Jan. 6, at least one Democrat was downplaying the severity of the incident. “This is a public building, and they wouldn’t let them in,” Townsend claimed she heard one Democratic state Senator say.

Protests swept the nation after the high court’s decision was announced. Other cities like New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Dallas, Reno, Tuscon, and of course Seattle also had abortion advocates take to the streets over the decision.

The left engages in violent protest at the drop of a hat and groups like Antifa have no problem burning down government buildings to get their point across. However, Democrats only care about the incident at the U.S. Capitol because they believe they can smear Republican politicians and their voters with nasty charges of “insurrection” — all while they ignore actual instances of it.
