President Joe Biden is clearly not well. That’s a fact the media and the White House are trying to conceal.
In a news conference Thursday, Biden apparently mixed up two very different leaders, but the official transcripts quietly removed the embarrassing incident from the record, Fox News reported. During his remarks, Biden confused Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani and embroiled Pakastani military leader, Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
The White House transcripts have since shown the error crossed out and Ghani’s name bracketed. Still, it’s a significant gaffe as Kayani was previously accused of sheltering 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden, according to The New York Times. It’s possible Biden confused the two because the general was in power until 2013, leaving after the Obama administration ended.
Even more troubling in that same briefing that was mostly the media lobbing softballs at him, Biden appeared to question whether Ghani was a legitimate leader of the nation. “He is the — the ‘leader,’ quote, in Afghanistan and Kabul. And there’s a U.N.-led process that’s beginning shortly on how to mechanically get people — how to end this war,” Biden said.
Although Ghani was sworn into office in March, his opponents claim he is not the legitimate leader. The U.S. officially recognizes Ghani as the president but the White House did not attempt to scrub that gaffe.
Biden is known for his embarrassing missteps, but it seems to be getting worse. During the same press conference — his first despite being in office over two months — Biden made so many mistakes, false claims, and nonsensical mistakes so severe, The Hill called the event a “disgrace.”
Among the highlights was a claim that former President Donald Trump starved children at the border as he downplayed his own role in the border crisis. He also used several crib sheets just to get through it, including one that appeared to tell him which media members to call on.

Biden is making serious mistakes, and as the president the stakes are high. He looks weak and frail, and he’s making the country look bad while possibly offending world leaders at the same time. It’s time for serious people to reconsider whether Biden is fit for office, whether the mainstream media wants to admit it or not.
