Report reveals ‘bleak’ midterm fallout for Democrats

House Democrats are facing a bleak midterm election, according to a new report by Axios.

The outlet noted that even some districts that President Joe Biden won by up to 15 points in 2020 are in danger of voting Republican.

“President Biden’s approval has been hovering in the low 40s for several months, with inflation driving down his popularity,” Axios reported.

“Polling shows Republicans are winning the generic congressional ballot by an average of 1.9 points — and they have still room to grow,” it added.

The midterms could easily give the GOP a large advantage in the House, including the removal of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) from her role as speaker.

The future is looking stronger for Republicans, but November isn’t here yet. A lot could still happen, with major events still to come in months between now and the election.
