A new study has revealed the majority of American counties are not designated as Second Amendment sanctuaries.
SanctuaryCounties.com reported that 1,930 counties are now protected by Second Amendment legislation at the state or county level. The number included 61 percent of the nation’s counties.
Texas became the 21st state to pass a constitutional carry law. The newly signed legislation will go into effect Sept. 1.
The website also noted that approximately 1,137 counties have created their own legislation despite lack of support through state bills.
SanctuaryCounties.com says it “is a website dedicated to the law-abiding, Constitution loving citizens who refuse to simply give up their Second Amendment rights.”

The movement also includes ConstitutionalSanctuaries.com, a website that aggregates news related to the Second Amendment.
As the Biden administration adds additional gun controls, Americans at the state and county levels work to protect Second Amendment rights, offering clear evidence of the will of the American people to protect the right to bear arms.
