Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted on Monday that he includes politics in his work related to COVID-19.
“I don’t want to get into the politics, but sometimes you almost have to,” Fauci told USA Today.
“A day doesn’t go by that some congressman, some senator propagates something that is completely misleading and completely untrue,” he added.
Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz blasted Fauci’s political statements during an interview shared to Twitter on Sunday. “Dr. Fauci is a political player who says what is politically convenient at the moment,” Cruz said.
