Report claims Biden admitted his plan to lower gas prices was pointless

President Joe Biden admitted that his plans to lower gas prices in April were pointless, according to a Washington Post report.

The report addressed an emergency waiver to allow gas with higher ethanol to be sold throughout the summer.

“Experts and fossil fuel industry groups also criticized the ethanol gambit as an ineffective approach to record gas prices facing consumers. The policy only affects 1.5% of U.S. gas stations and the White House said it would save Americans with access to those stations just 10 cents per gallon,” according to the Daily Caller.

“In addition, food industry groups said the action would place upward pressure on grocery prices which have, like energy costs, surged over the last 12 months,” it added.

The news comes as gas prices continue to climb to record levels, now at an average of $5 per gallon nationwide.

Biden’s claims to offset prices have done nothing to help as Americans desperately seek a break from soaring costs.
