President Joe Biden’s new budget has been written in a way to best secure his reelection, according to a new Breitbart News report.
“His budget appears to be designed in part to secure that reelection. Much of what will likely be the most popular projects really get ramped up in 2025. In other words, Biden is promising in his budget big payouts in his second term,” the outlet noted.
Citing examples from the new plan, Biden’t budget “proposes $5.1 billion for repairing roads and bridges in fiscal year 2022. That jumps to $13.4 billion in 2023, $17.4 billion in 2024, and then to $19.7 billion in 2025 and $21.6 billion in 2026. A proposal to ‘modernize public transit’ goes from $9.4 billion in 2024 to $11.8 billion in 2025 and $13.4 in billion in 2026.”
The proposed Biden budget is also extremely high. The total budget presented is more than $6 trillion.
NBC News reported Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) declared Biden’s budget “dead on arrival — just like all other presidential budgets.”
“It is insanely expensive. It dramatically increases nondefense spending and taxes,” Graham said in a statement. “There will be serious discussions about government funding. But the Biden budget isn’t serious and it won’t be a part of those discussions.”
USA Today noted the proposed budget would place American spending past World War II levels. The budget risks “creating an opening for Republicans to increase their attacks on his ambitious spending proposals as too expensive.”
Biden may want to secure reelection as part of his budget plan, but Republicans will not have it. The massive spending will only hurt America in the long-term as the nation seeks to rebound from the struggles of the COVID-19 pandemic.
