Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul called for the White House to remove Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley if claims are accurate that the military leader sought to undermine former President Donald Trump’s leadership in January.
“I don’t care what you think of President Trump, the Chairman of the JCOS working to subvert the military chain of command and collude with China is exactly what we do not accept from military leaders in our country,” Paul tweeted.
“He should be court martialed if true,” the senator added.

Paul also attacked Milley’s failed handling of the military’s departure from Afghanistan.
“Couple that with his inept handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and it is clear General Milley is no longer fit to serve as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and should be removed immediately,” Paul said in another tweet.

The comments follows reports that the upcoming book Perial by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa explain Milley took actions after concerns Trump would “go rogue” after concerns regarding election fraud. However, it appears the one who may have gone rogue is Milley himself.
