Radical Democrat abortion bill fails in close vote

A new radical abortion bill nearly passed in the Senate as almost every Democrat supported the bill.

The Women’s Health Protection Act would have allowed abortion until at least six months, as well as banning most abortion restrictions up to the point of birth.

Every Democrat supported the legislation except West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin. All Republicans opposed the bill.

“The Women’s Health Protection Act is an attack against the health of women & unborn children. Today, I voted against this legislation which would open the pathway for abortion on demand & legalize late term abortions,” Tennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn wrote.

The close vote revealed the importance of supporting conservative Republicans in future elections by pro-life voters.

The narrow victory also helps, for now, protect the life of many preborn children, especially as more states approve bills for stronger restrictions against abortion.
