White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has admitted the Biden administration does not plan to rescue all Americans in Afghanistan as it nears its Aug. 31 deadline.
“Our focus right now is on doing the work at hand, the task at hand. That is day by day getting as many American citizens, as many SIV applicants, as many members of the vulnerable population who are eligible to be evacuated to the airport and out on planes,” Psaki said last week.
“Meanwhile, report after report confirms that hundreds, maybe even thousands, of Americans — we don’t know exactly how many — are stranded behind enemy lines,” the Washington Examiner reported on Wednesday.
“An American mother stuck in the region told Fox News that she’s made multiple attempts to reach the Kabul airport but was forced to turn around each time after seeing Taliban terrorists beat and whip people trying to get past their checkpoints,” it added.
“If the Americans can’t get out of Afghanistan before the August 31st deadline, should we send troops back in to rescue them? @JakeBequette91 believes so – he says we absolutely need to get every American out of Afghanistan!” Arkansas Republican Sen. candidate Jake Bequette said.

“@POTUS has a sacred duty to ensure every American citizen is returned to America,” former SEAL Derrick Van Orden added.

America has a moral obligation to rescue every Afghan that helped us fight the Taliban & saved American lives, mine included.
The Biden admin is failing on both accounts in real time.

The goal is for the safety of every American in Afghanistan, not leaving by a certain date. The Biden administration’s focus on a timeline over American lives continues to infuriate many across the nation.
