Press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is a rising star in the Trump administration. In the last few weeks, she’s delivered several knockout blows to the media in the press room. Now, a new video has emerged, and its a doozy.
In the clip, McEnany is seen manhandling three reporters who attempted to trap her during the press briefing.
The video is striking for several reasons.
First, the tone contrast between McEnany and the reporters she’s facing. The reporter’s tone is arrogant, combative, and petulant. It’s a weird plaintive whining that should embarrass any member of the press that claims to be unbiased.
McEnany, on the other hand, is cool, calm, and composed. She’s also disciplined, refusing to stray off-script and commit President Trump to any course of action to reign in rogue governors.
At the same time, she gets the president’s message across – the right to worship is a first amendment right, and it cannot be taken from the people, even in the name of safety.
My favorite part? The part where she points out that the reporters in the room seem overly eager to deny the right to worship. That jab drew blood when an indignant reporter burst out “Kayleigh I object to that!”
Objection or not, it’s true. The reporters in the Press Room are so biased that they’ll take any position in opposition to Trump. McEnany knows that, and she’s not afraid to use it against them.
One thing is for sure: Kayleigh McEnany has a bright future in front of her.
