Polls show Republicans leading in 85 battleground congressional districts as Biden voter regrets shows

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released a report Tuesday that showed the GOP ahead in 85 battleground congressional districts.

“It is not just that the Biden honeymoon is over. Voters are now having ‘Biden Remorse’ due to Democrats’ incompetence,” the report noted.

“Many of the groups that powered Biden to the presidency have now soured on him, as he is underwater with Hispanics (-5 percent) and college-educated white voters (-3 percent).

“A majority of voters (53 percent) do not believe Joe Biden is competently running the country. Among independents, 62 percent do not believe Biden is competent,” the poll reported.

Republicans are not only leading due to remorse over Biden, but also due to their positions on key issues. For example, “Among independents, Republicans have a +37 percent advantage on the border,” the report noted.

Another policy issue where Republicans find support is in opposing the defund the police movement. In the poll, 58 percent agreed the view has led to crime increasing.

The poll shows the GOP will likely take back power in the House after the 2022 midterms, but there’s still a lot of time for things to change between now and next November.
