Vice President Kamala Harris holds a lower approval rating than former Vice President Mike Pence by a one-point margin after her first 100 days in office.
A Fox News poll asked respondents on Sunday whether they have a generally favorable or unfavorable opinion of the Harris. The vice president received a 49 percent approval rating.
Pence held a 50 percent rating after his first 100 days in office, according to The Independent.
As the nation’s first female vice president and first vice president of color, Harris has held large responsibilities during the early days of Biden’s term. In March, the president tapped Harris to lead the nation’s response to immigration, according to Breitbart News.
The White House later backtracked, claiming Harris was only addressing the root causes of immigration.
Despite her influential role, Harris has yet to visit the nation’s southern border. She has instead held calls and virtual meetings with the leaders of Mexico and the nations of the Northern Triangle.
Harris also recently announced a trip to Central America in June.
In addition to immigration, the vice president has also conducted calls and visits with several heads of state. Many of her actions are traditionally led by the nation’s president, leading some to speculate about Biden’s health or a future presidential run by Harris.
