Poll: Biden approval ratings nosedive even in reliably liberal New York

In a stark signal of just how far President Joe Biden has fallen in the eyes of countless Democrats during his 13 months in office, a new poll shows that a majority of voters in a reliably supportive state have already abandoned him, as Fox News reports.

According to a Siena College survey disseminated on Wednesday, approval of the commander in chief among the electorate in the Empire State has dropped below 50% despite its status as one of the most unwavering bastions of liberalism anywhere in the nation.

The poll showed that Biden’s ratings currently sit at their lowest point since last January, continuing on a downward trajectory to reach a startling low of 48% in terms of favorability and 36% for job approval.

A significant source of dissatisfaction for respondents related to economic concerns, with worries over rising inflation among the most substantial drivers of Biden’s drop-in support, with 63% of those surveyed noting that inflation is having a “very serious” negative impact.

As shocking as Biden’s collapse in New York has been, he is experiencing similar troubles in a staggering number of states across the entire country, according to a recent CIVIQS poll, as the Daily Mail noted.

The survey delivered shock results for the president in that it showed just four states in which Biden has a higher approval than disapproval number, with his standing in the all-important swing states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, and Arizona averaging in the low 30s.

CIVIQS found that in West Virginia, Biden earned just 16% approval from respondents, with 79% of participants registering disapproval with his performance in office, making it the worst result for the president on an individual state basis.

Adding insult to injury for Biden is the fact that even in the states where he is not currently underwater in terms of approval, namely, Maryland, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Hawaii, he did not clear 49% on that barometer of voter support in a single one.

With inflationary pressure continuing to rise, a war in Ukraine threatening global security, and a growing sense that Biden is asleep at the switch when it comes to righting the ship of state, these already disastrous poll numbers could be just the beginning of the bad news for Democrats as the midterms grow ever nearer.
