PNC Bank reverses decision to cut ties with Donald Trump Jr. connected business

PNC Financial Services Group Inc. came under attack, and rightfully so, earlier this week after it was revealed that it had abruptly cut ties with a news aggregation company co-founded by Donald Trump Jr.

According to Breitbart, the bank reversed its course just as fast as it had cut the company off in the first place.

"BREAKING: Woke @PNCBank just shut down the bank account for my app @mxmnews without any explanation. The Left doesn't think you should be able to exist, much less thrive, in society. It should be illegal to discriminate based on political affiliation!!!" Trump Jr. tweeted Thursday, sparking massive backlash against the major bank.

Former Donald Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich co-founded the app with Trump Jr., and he explained how he initially realized PNC had cut ties.

"The teller said he was unable to complete the transfers as the account had been closed and balance had been zeroed out. After being told to call a generic help line, I was informed by the PNC representative that per the terms and conditions, PNC reserves the right to re-evaluate their business relationships at any time and terminate accounts without cause," Budowich said, according to Fox News.

He added: "Woke corporations are using their terms and conditions like a guillotine over the head of every conservative entrepreneur."

What was especially frustrating for Budowich and Trump Jr. was the fact that PNC offered nothing in the way of an explanation, simply writing:

"Here’s what happened: Your PNC account has been closed. Enclosed you’ll find a cashier’s check representing the balance of your remaining funds. Here’s what you’ll need to do: Please destroy all unused checks, withdrawal/deposit tickets and any debit card accessing the account."

PNC changed its tune rather quickly, inside 24 hours, calling the situation a "good-faith error," and vowing it had nothing to do with Trump Jr.'s politics or family name.

"Account closures can occur for a variety of reasons but are never influenced by the political views or affiliations of our customers," read a Mar. 3 statement from PNC.

It added: "We’ve looked closely into the circumstances surrounding the closure of the ROCDIGITAL, LLC account and determined it was mistakenly closed due to a good-faith error."

While it can't be proven, it certainly appears to the casual observer that PNC Bank picked the wrong conservative to cancel, and quickly realized the backlash wasn't worth the few minutes of appeasing the radical, Trump Derangement Syndrome-stricken left.
