It’s been nearly a week since one of the most explosive potential political scandals in decades was brought to light by The New York Post with their reporting on a laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden that detailed some of his shady and lucrative business dealings abroad while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president.
On Tuesday, The New York Post added another bombshell to the growing scandal by publishing an undated picture that clearly shows former Vice President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden posing with Kenes Rakishev, one of Hunter Biden’s Kazakh business partners. Also posing in the picture is Karim Massimov, who was the prime minister of Kazakhstan during the bulk of former President Barack Obama’s time in office.
The photo was reportedly first shared in 2019 by the Kazhakhstani Initiative on Asset Recovery on their website.
One of the reasons that the photo is significant is due to the previous business dealings that Hunter Biden apparently had with Rakishev, which involved another potential pay-to-play scheme in which Hunter Biden would help foster large, U.S. investment deals for the Kazakh businessman.
Rakishev was otherwise unable to invest in a traditional sense because the origins of his reported wealth — which totaled over $300 million — tended to scare off potential U.S. business partners.
In other words, Rakishev’s best course of action was to go through Hunter Biden who, thanks to his last name, had the high-level connections to make investment deals happen that otherwise likely wouldn’t have come to fruition.
Not only is it important to know about Hunter Biden’s connection to Rakishev, but if the photo is verified and officially dated at some point, it could be further evidence that Joe Biden was more than familiar with his son’s seedy business dealings abroad during his time as vice president.
Joe Biden has made repeated claims that he was not familiar with his son’s overseas business dealings while he was in the Obama White House. A growing pile of evidence from Hunter Biden’s laptop — which was confirmed to be in FBI custody, according to Fox News — suggests that the elder Biden was probably well aware of what was happening at the time.
Even worse, evidence from the emails on the laptop suggests that Joe Biden was not only aware of his son’s overseas dealings, but was also cashing in on them, big time.
This revelation is just another cog in the wheel of a potentially massive corruption scandal that, if proven true without a doubt, could theoretically mark the end of Joe Biden’s presidential ambitions.
