Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, the most powerful woman in the Democrat party, and a prominent supporter of face mask-wearing during COVID-19 was caught without her mask on and she is livid.
Pelosi, who relentlessly scolds and badgers President Trump for occasionally not wearing a mask, appeared as the hypocrite she is when video was released showing her getting her hair done in a San Francisco salon without a face mask on — and then turned around and blame the salon for “setting her up.”
San Francisco salons have been closed for months because of the coronavirus lockdown imposed by Pelosi’s nephew, Governor Gavin Newsom. Salons in the city are allowed to provide services to customers as of September 1, but only outdoors.
Pelosi contacted her favorite neighborhood salon and asked for a cut and a “blow out” and the salon owner agreed to let her in. Apparently, the salon owner maintains a video surveillance system that captured Pelosi’s visit.
When Pelosi was questioned about her maskless visit to the salon, she lashed out at the salon for “setting her up.”
I’ve been there many — over the years, I’ve been there many times. I appreciate — I appreciate the question. And let me just say this, I take responsibility for trusting the word of a neighborhood salon that I’ve been to over the years, many times and that when they said we’re able to accommodate people, one person at a time and that we can set up that time. I trusted that.
As it turns out, it was a setup. So, I take responsibility for falling for a setup. And that’s all I’m going to say on that.
Furious, Pelosi has demanded an apology from the salon owner for attempting to set her up. “I think that they, that this salon owes me an apology for setting up,” Pelosi declared during a Wednesday press conference.
Salon owner Erica Kious appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show to explain in her own words what the lockdown has done to her business, and what Pelosi’s visit means for her business.
Kious described Pelosi’s flouting of the rules as “a slap in the face … that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work.”
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, more than 2,000 businesses have been forced to permanently closed since the beginning of the pandemic, but Pelosi can demand and get a haircut and a “blow out” because she is a powerful politician.
