Pelosi confirms that impeachment is an option to block Trump SCOTUS nominee

Democrats are embarrassingly transparent at this point. Not even two days after Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing was announced, Democrats are already floating impeachment as a strategy to stop Trump from nominating a replacement.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who was largely responsible for the last failed impeachment effort, confirmed that Democrats have “arrows in our quiver” in response to a query as to whether impeachment is on the table.

ABC anchor and former Bill Clinton adviser George Stephanopoulos asked Pelosi on Sunday what she can do if Trump attempts to push through a replacement for Ginsburg before the election.

“Some have mentioned the possibility, if [Republicans] try to push through a nominee in a lame-duck session, that you and the House can move to impeach President Trump or Attorney General Barr as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination,” Stephanopoulos asked Pelosi.

Pelosi replied:

Well, we have our options. We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now, but the fact is we have a big challenge in our country. This president has threatened to not even accept the results of the election with statements that he and his henchmen have made. So right now, our main goal and I think Ruth Bader Ginsburg would want that to be to protect the integrity of the election, that we protect the American people from the coronavirus.”

Stephanopoulos pressed Pelosi to confirm that she is “not ruling anything out,” to which she replied, “yeah, we have a responsibility.”

“We’ve taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” Pelosi continued. “We have a responsibility to meet the needs of the American people. That is when we weigh the equities of protecting our democracy requires us to use every arrow in our quiver.”

The speaker clearly doesn’t want to disclose Democrat plans until after Trump makes his nomination official, but the desperation amongst leftists has never been more palpable since the announcement of Ginsburg’s death.

Someplace throughout the paragraphs you were able to make me a believer unfortunately just for a while. I nevertheless have a problem with your leaps in logic and one might do nicely to help fill in all those gaps. In the event you actually can accomplish that, I could undoubtedly be fascinated.
