House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) used the vaccination “honor system” hours after suggesting that the very same honor system is not sufficient proof someone is vaccinated in the U.S. Capitol this week.
In a video from Barstool News Network, Pelosi is shown without a mask and certainly less than six feet away from other individuals, as social distancing protocols recommend — and her own House rules require.

Earlier that day, Pelosi asked, “The honor system, as to whether someone has been vaccinated? Do you want them breathing in your face on the strength of their honor?” according to Breitbart News.
The House voted 218-210 Wednesday to block House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) from ending the mask mandate for members in the House chamber. The actions appear to serve as clear contradictions, especially as the majority of House members have now been vaccinated.

Pelosi’s inconsistencies highlight the problems with long-term masking across the nation. The system no longer serves the purpose of safety, but rather largely serves as a control issue or to give the appearance of a safe environment.
