Paul Pelosi attacker arrested in his underwear, questions swirl about truth of Pelosi's story

According to accounts, David DePape, the suspect who broke into the residence of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and struck Paul Pelosi with a hammer, was only wearing his underwear when police arrived and had left a manifesto that advocated conspiracy theories.

According to KTVU investigative reporter Evan Sernoffsky, DePape (shown on the left) "was in his underwear when police arrived."

Authorities discovered DePape's manifesto on social media, where he spoke about conspiracies and had a list of other targeted politicians, according to Sernoffsky.

Two of DePape's old friends, who eventually stopped speaking to him due to his troubling conduct, were interviewed by CNN.

Around eight years ago, Linda Schneider, who occasionally let DePape housesit, told CNN that he was residing in a storage unit in the Berkeley region when they first met.

After receiving "very disturbing" emails from DePape that sounded "megalomaniacal and completely out of touch with reality," Schneider ultimately severed her relationship with him.

DePape would cite “Biblical justification to do harm.” according to Schneider, who cut off communication with him "because it seemed so dangerous."

Approximately ten years ago, Laura Hayes, who worked with DePape, stated he would inform people that “he talks to angels and there will be a hard time coming.”

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, DePape shared a residence with nudist campaigner Gypsy Taub and her family of five in 2013. During that time, Taub presented a talk program called Uncensored 9/11 where she promoted beliefs that the September 11 terrorist attacks were "an inside job" and appeared naked.

DePape was Taub's best man at their 2013 nuptials in front of San Francisco City Hall.

The San Francisco Chronicle noted that DePape also published on a WordPress blog in support of views concerning America's "elites/ruling class."

In addition, according to CNN, DePape promoted conspiracies regarding George Floyd's passing and the January 6 Capitol Riots on his Facebook page last year.
