PA Supreme Court rules 4-3 in favor of Democrat redistricting map

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Democrat-proposed congressional redistricting map on Wednesday in a 4 to 3 decision.

The new map will create eight districts considered Republican-leaning, six Democrat-leaning and three “toss-up” districts.

“Pennsylvania’s delegation is currently split between nine Republicans and nine Democrats. But like so many Democrat-controlled states, Pennsylvania lost one district in the 2020 census,” Breitbart News reported.

The plan was backed by the Elias Law Group, a firm led by Marc Elias, who has represented the Clintons and other leading Democrats.

“Pennsylvania Supreme Court ADOPTS new congressional map. Court selects maps put forward by our clients (Carter) as new statewide map!” Elias tweeted.

“Proud of the work @EliasLawGroup and @RedistrictFdn did to ensure fair maps in Pennsylvania,” he added following the decision.
