Officials reveal details about the flying objects the military shot down

According to the Daily Wire, U.S. government officials have just provided some details about the flying objects that the military shot down over the weekend.

Do not expect full transparency, though. The administration of President Joe Biden has made it clear that it is not going to give it.

The U.S. military, according to government officials, shot down two "unidentified" flying objects over the weekend.

The first object was shot down over Alaska on Friday. And, the second object was shot down over Canada on Saturday.

These incidents are separate from the downing of the Chinese surveillance balloon that was recently shot down - after it was allowed to float across the entire country - over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of South Carolina.

Initially, Pentagon spokesperson Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder described the object shot down over Alaska as "about the size of a small car." Ryder contrasted that with the Chinese spy balloon, which is estimated to be the size of two or three buses. The object was also described as "cylindrical," and, without "observable surveillance equipment."

More details were provided on Sunday. U.S. officials revealed that the objects shot down over Alaska and Canada were "small metallic" balloons "with a tethered payload." It has not been revealed what the payload is.

U.S. officials further revealed on Sunday that it was tracking the object that it shot down over Canada for at least a day before it pulled the trigger. There, has been much confusion about if and when the U.S. government knew about the various flying objects that the public has now been made aware of.

The big question that U.S. officials did not answer is who is behind the flying objects.

It is known with certainty that the initial spy balloon came from China. But, it is unclear whether China is also behind these "small metallic" balloons.

In fact, the U.S. government claims, thus far, to not know who is behind the metallic balloons. Many are disputing this fact given the capabilities of the U.S. military.

Nonetheless, for now, the U.S. government claims not to know the origin of the balloons.

Recovery efforts are currently underway for all three objects that the U.S. military has shot down: the initial Chinese spy balloon, the object shot down over Alaska, and the object shot down over Canada.

It is unclear how long these recovery efforts will take. It is also unclear whether the U.S. government plans to reveal the findings of these efforts.
