Ocasio-Cortez says that she is the victim of 'stochastic terrorism'

Far-left U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) now claims to be the victim of "stochastic terrorism," KTXS12 reports

What's "stochastic terrorism," you may ask?

Ocasio-Cortez, herself, is going to define the term for you.

But, to give you a preview, Business Insider reports:

Stochastic terrorism is a specific type of extremist violence that occurs when an environment has "othered" a population or individual to a significant enough extent that results in subsequent violence against them,  Eric K. Ward, senior advisor to the Western States Center, told Insider.

Ocasio-Cortez made the "stochastic terrorism" claim during a recent appearance on CNN, where she spoke with John Berman.

The interview came after the U.S. House of Representatives, with its new Republican majority, voted to remove another far-left rep - U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) - from her position on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) vowed to do this before becoming speaker. And, the reasoning for the move is twofold.

First, McCarthy's predecessor - former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) - opened the door to removing congress members from the committee during the last Congress when she removed several Republicans from their committee assignments. And, second, McCarthy took issue with the consistent anti-Israel rhetoric that Omar has used.

Following the vote to oust Omar, Ocasio-Cortez made a spectacle on the House floor, passionately claiming that Republicans are "targeting women of color" and that Republicans are perpetuating "racism against Muslim Americans."

Apparently, Ocasio-Cortez's rant on the House floor was enough to earn her an appearance on CNN. And, while there, it didn't take her long to claim that she, too, is a victim.

During her CNN interview, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about the viral clip of her conversation, during the vote for the House Speakership, with U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ). The clip went viral, of course, because the conversation seemed to be somewhat friendly even though these two occupy vastly different regions of the political spectrum and even though Gosar had previously targeted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

Ocasio-Cortez revealed on CNN the contents of the conversation, in which, apparently, they both found agreement on the fact that McCarthy should not be House Speaker.

But, then, CNN asked Ocasio-Cortez whether she felt "safe" sitting next to Gosar considering his previous targeting of her. Ocasio-Cortez replied:

I think it’s uncomfortable serving with people who engage in what many experts deem stochastic terrorism, which is the incitement of violence in a — which is an incitement of violence using digital means and large platforms so that individual themselves may not be the one that’s wielding a weapon.

Some things just never change. And, one of those things is Ocasio-Cortez claiming victimhood.
