Last week, the Massachusetts governor announced, “If you have a serious health condition or risk of developing a severe illness from COVID, you should take extra precautions. If you have a close friend or family members who have a serious health condition or a serious risk of developing a severe disease or illness from COVID, you should take extra precautions.”
According to Axios, “The party will be held outdoors, all guests are asked to be vaccinated and invitees have been told there will be a COVID-coordinator to ensure all proper protocols are followed.”
The Axios report also said the band Pearl Jam and filmmaker Steven Spielberg are expected to attend. The event may include several hundred guests.
Obama’s star-studded celebration will likely draw some concerns related to ongoing COVID-19 issues. However, the outdoor party and many safety protocols like stand beyond most other similar events.
