North Korea fires fourth missile as Kamala Harris mistakenly brags of strong alliance between North Kora and U.S.

Vice President Kamala Harris is painfully incompetent. However, her latest gaffe all but proves she may be downright dangerous.

North Korea has fired its fourth missile in a week following Harris mistakenly touting a "strong alliance" between the U.S. and "the Republic of North Korea," Fox News reported. Harris clearly meant to say South Korea which is officially known as the Republic of Korea.

"I cannot state enough that the commitment of the United States to the defense of the Republic of Korea is iron-clad, and that we will do everything in our power to ensure that it has meaning in every way that the words suggest," Harris said Thursday. She was visiting the Korean Peninsula's Demilitarized Zone and delivering prepared remarks when she made the gaffe.

Just after Harris departed from the DMZ, North Korea fired off two short-range ballistic missiles. Although they landed in the ocean, this act is part of increasing military activity. However, the vice president and the White House have downplayed this fact.

"As you know, North Korea has a history of doing these types of tests," Harris said. Just ahead of Harris' visit, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that missile tests were "not unusual" even as Harris was on the brink of her visit.

This mistake is just the latest in a long line of embarrassing mishaps Harris has created. From opposing elections security laws to fixing immigration, she's flubbed every task she's been handed.

While those other issues are important, Harris's incompetence on foreign policy matters is downright dangerous. North Korea claims to have nuclear weapons as tensions in the region continue to rise, and any sign of weakness is a liability, the BBC reported.

While it's not unusual for public speakers to botch a line or two, this mistake is a grave one. Harris has given the North Korean government a soundbite for the ages while making the U.S. look bad -- and that's a huge problem.
