Nine more boxes of classified documents seized from office of Joe Biden's attorney

Nine more boxes of documents were seized from the office of President Joe Biden's attorney Patrick Moore and sent to the National Archives in November, Breitbart reported. There's no word on whether they contain classified documents as the others have, however.

A report Wednesday noted that Sens. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and Chuck Grassley had sent a letter to the Archives for clarification. "When NARA contacted President Biden’s personal counsel on November 3, 2022, to arrange to pick up boxes from the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., they informed NARA that Mr. Moore had moved other boxes from the Penn Biden Center to Mr. Moore’s law firm in Boston," the response letter explained.

The Archives admitted it knew about these boxes of documents a day after the first stash was found. There's no word on the rationale for Moore shipping the boxes from their previous home.

This ties into the scandal over Biden's classified documents that began on Nov. 2 . Biden's attorney reportedly found classified documents improperly kept in a closet at Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement of the University of Pennsylvania in Washington, D.C., the New York Post reported.

The DOJ and FBI began probing the matter to find out whether Biden violated federal law. Attorney General Merrick Garland handed off the investigation to John Lausch, U.S. Attorney for Chicago, on Nov. 14.

Then in December, another trove of classified documents was located at Biden's Wilmington, Delaware, home. It was in the garage next to his classic car, which he assured the public was no problem because it was "locked."

However, none of this was brought to light for the public until January 9. The timing was significant because the government knew of the classified documents scandal before the midterm elections but didn't publicize it until well after they were settled and done.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, said in his op-ed in the Post that the White House "never intended to inform the American people" about the classified documents. "At one time, Biden promised to have the most transparent administration in history," Comer recalled.

"I could make the argument he has the least transparent administration in history," he said. "When it mattered most, the White House, National Archives and Justice Department failed to promptly inform Congress and the American people," Comer charged.

He went on to say that it was his "responsibility to investigate this mishandling of highly sensitive information and what appears to be a two-tier system of justice" between Democrats and Republicans. "Instead of being transparent, the archives did not alert the public that Biden was potentially violating the law," Comer added.

When former President Donald Trump was accused of a similar charge, the FBI raided his private residence to seize his records. "For months, the National Archives failed to disclose to the American public that Biden stored highly classified documents in a closet at his personal office," Comer said in contrast.

Comer's piece was published nearly a month ago, and his words ring more true with these latest revelations. It's clear that the administration, the DOJ, and the FBI knew about Biden's penchant for keeping classified documents where they don't belong.

Instead, they seemingly colluded to keep it under wraps until after the midterm elections. On its own, this would be a scandalous misuse of the government to pull the political strings -- but considering the disparity with which they treated Trump, it's a dirty D.C. scandal.
