Nick Cannon admitted to hospital for pneumonia

Fans were stunned when Nick Cannon shared a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed on Saturday, according to a report by The Daily Caller.

The well-known TV host and comedian gave his 6 million Instagram followers a health update and disclosed that he was suffering from pneumonia that was severe enough to necessitate hospitalization.

"Okay, so I guess I'm not Superman… I promised myself I would never be back at this place again…" Cannon wrote.

He went on to pass along some very valuable advice to his fans. "But this is a great lesson to take care of YOU or YOU won't be able to take care of everyone else," he wrote.

In the initial photo Cannon uploaded to Instagram, he was wearing a mask and had his head slightly elevated off the pillow. He was connected to several devices, which are apparent in the picture.

"Don't trip though, I don't need any well wishes or prayers , just some solid rest and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever… it's just pneumonia, nothing I can't handle," the 42-year-old artist wrote.

Cannon was captured in the second photo lying down in a hospital bed with his eyes closed. His hospital gown appeared to be hiding the monitoring equipment to which he was connected.

"Crazy thing is, last night we was just rocking a sold out crowd at Madison square garden in front of thousands of fans, now I'm all alone in a tiny hospital room," Cannon said.

He concluded his post by saying, "Life is definitely a rollercoaster! #LupusWarrior."

Cannon recently made headlines when he shared an Instagram video on Thursday, Nick Cannon displayed his festive good humor by making jokes about how many children and baby mamas he has.

Throughout the video, Cannon wore a holiday jumper with red LED lights embedded in it. He was sitting in front of a fireplace and sporting a Santa hat.

He started making jokes about having fathered a total of 11 children with six different women after perfectly setting the holiday mood, according to People. He reportedly has twelve children, three of which were born this year alone.

"It's almost the holidays, and thanks to me, the world now has 8 billion people," Cannon said, citing a milestone the world population passed last month. "But my job's not done."

Fans responded to the joke about Cannon's "job not being done" in the Instagram comments area, wondering if he was alluding to having another child.
