New York senator would lose to AOC in primary, according to former staff member

New York Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand has become so weak that she would likely lose to Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a primary battle, a former Gillibrand staff member has claimed.

“It wouldn’t at all surprise me if there were truth to the rumors that she’s not planning to run, but instead is on the lookout for an administration position or a cushy private sector job,” the source told the New York Post.

“It’s not just her colleagues who are criticizing Gillibrand. There is cold hard data to support the assertion that her legislating has been short of effective,” a ZeroHedge report said.

“According to GovTrack, Gillibrand was among the least effective senators in the previous Congress, ranking 39 out of 45 among Democrats, with not a single ‘substantive’ bill she proposed becoming law,” it added.

The rumors may be part of a larger plan behind AOC’s future run for Senate as the radical left seeks to expand beyond the House and into the Senate.

If so, the move could also embolden new conservative efforts in New York, leading to a major battle for who would serve to lead the people of the Empire State in the Senate.
