New video shows White House staff screaming at reporters to stop them from asking Biden questions

A newly-released video shows President Joe Biden smiling as members of his staff scream at reporters in order to stop them from asking Biden questions.

The footage has been published on YouTube by the GOP War Room. Take a look:

The footage comes from a meeting that Biden held on Monday at the White House with Guillermo Lasso, the president of Ecuador.

The above video picks up with Biden and Lasso sitting by a fireplace in the Oval Office of the White House in front of a group of reporters.

Just as the video begins, reporters start shouting questions at the pair. There is so much shouting that it is hard to make out what exactly anyone is saying. Lasso looks around with a seemingly nervous countenance, while Biden grins at the reporters.

Not long after the reporters start trying to ask Biden questions, a voice could be heard that is clearly louder than the rest. Again, it is difficult to make out exactly what the voice says, but one could hear the voice say, "I want to thank the press."

As the video continues, it becomes clear that the voice is a member of Biden's staff who is trying to dismiss the press from the room.

The voice shouts, "I want to thank the press," and similar statements repeatedly until the press calms down. As the press does so, the voice becomes clearer. The voice, at one point, tells the press, "I need you to follow me," and it keeps saying, "thank you very much."

Many reporters, nonetheless, persisted in trying to ask Biden questions. As this is going on, Biden maintains a grin on his face, while Lasso could also be seen smiling - albeit apprehensively. The shouting continues until the video comes to an end.

This video is typical of the lack of transparency that we have seen from the Biden administration. But, this has to be one of the most egregious examples of this lack of transparency - with a member of Biden's staff shutting down any and all questions.

Biden, according to Reuters, "met Ecuador President Guillermo Lasso on Monday to discuss efforts to stem the flow of migrants to the United States as the White House faces increased pressure over its immigration policies."

This conversation took place as concerns grow about a surge in illegal immigration at the southern border. The surge is expected as Title 42 - the Trump-era COVID pandemic policy used to limit asylum seekers to the U.S. - is scheduled to come to an end.

After his meeting with Biden, Laso said:

We have talked about migration and migration as a consequence of the economic problems of many countries in Latin America. We have ratified our commitment to continue supporting, as we have done, the migration phenomenon, especially (migrants) from Venezuela in Ecuador.
