New poll says Dem voters now want Joe Biden to run in 2024 after red wave failed

Something weird is happening in the Democratic Party, at least according to a new poll regarding President Joe Biden's chances of being supported for a 2024 presidential run.

According to The Daily Wire, even with approval ratings in the proverbial tank, the apparent lack of a big enough "red wave" due to the 2022 midterm elections has apparently given Democratic voters inspiration to believe Biden could actually go through with a second run and win.

The new confidence in the cognitively-challenged, 80-year-old president also came as Democrats managed to hold onto control of the Senate, seen as a massive defensive win.

In the weeks leading up to Nov. 8, hype of an incoming "red wave" or "red tsunami" hit a fever pitch before fizzling out.

According to the latest USA Today-Ipsos poll on the matter, a shocking 71% of Democratic voters now want to see Biden give it another run in 2024.

That marks an impressive 11-point bump since the August iteration of the poll.

In another part of the poll, 50% of Dem voters believe Biden "should be the nominee and deserves reelection," which marks a six-point jump from August.

The Daily Wire added, "The poll, released Sunday, indicated overall that Democrats are feeling better about Biden after Democrats pulled off surprising wins in key races nationwide, fending off Trump-backed candidates in high-profile contests in Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Arizona."

On the poll's results, The Hill noted, "The USA Today-Ipsos poll found that voters' perception that Biden can win in 2024 jumped notably among women (55 percent in August to 71 percent in November) and among voters aged 18-34 (53 percent in August to 69 percent in November)."

Still, hypothetical matchups between Biden and former President Donald Trump have given the edge to Trump, so the Dems might have to start looking elsewhere for a fresh, popular new face of the party.

Only time will tell, but given Biden's condition as of now, it's extremely difficult and even farfetched to think he could manage the rigors of running the country in several years.
