New poll finds that only 28 percent of voters believe Biden will win in 2024

A new poll revealed on Thursday that just 28 percent of likely voters believe President Joe Biden will be reelected in 2024.

Rasmussen Reports shared the details of the poll that included the surprising response that 21 percent believe Biden will resign before his first term ends.

The poll of 1,000 likely voters conducted Jan. 2-3 asked, “Which is more likely – that President Biden will be reelected in 2024, that he will be defeated by the Republican nominee in 2024 or that he will resign before serving his full term in office?”

Another 38 percent believe Biden will lose to a Republican candidate in 2024.

In addition, just 16 percent of Republicans agreed that Biden is capable of leading the nation as president, a number agreed to by 33 percent of Independents. In contrast, 80 percent of Democrats agreed the president is capable of leading the country.

The concerning numbers come as Biden nears the one-year mark in office, leaving another three years to change the minds of voters if he wants to run for another term.
