New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy tests positive for Covid following Costa Rican vacation

New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy revealed on Sunday that she tested positive for COVID-19 after a recent vacation to Costa Rica.

Murphy said she was fully vaccinated and had received a booster shot prior to her trip.

“Today, I tested positive for COVID-19. I’m very grateful for all the well wishes,” Murphy tweeted.

“Thankfully, I’m vaccinated and boosted and currently asymptomatic,” she added.

The governor nor other family members tested positive.

“As the governor is vaccinated and boosted, he is not required to quarantine per CDC guidance,” a statement read. “He will continue to wear a mask in all public settings.”

The growing number of positive cases among people who have been vaccinated and boosted continues to add concern as the number of cases grows nationwide.
