New Jersey Democrat calls out his own party over dire 2022 prospects

Congressional Democrats have admitted that their prospects in 2022 are less than idea, and they could lose their majority in the upcoming election.

According to a report in the Conservative Brief, Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) admitted as much during a virtual event about the impact of polling and inter-party conflict would likely have on voters.

Malinowski, who, according to Breitbart News, is himself in danger of losing his seat in the upcoming election, remarked that his party needed to focus on real change for people instead of just politics:

“All that stuff is real,” he said referencing the plummeting poll numbers for President Biden and the Democratic Party in general. The New Jersey Democrat went on to say that “if the election were held right now, I don’t think we would win.”

“We’re the party that delivers [the Republicans are] the party that defaults,” Malinowski said. “I get to go out there and say, you know, some of us get shit done, and some of us are batsh*t crazy.”

“And that’s your choice, and most of my voters, middle of the road pragmatic voters, I think will respond to that message. I can count on [the Republicans] to remain batshit crazy. There’s no question about that.”

In addition to their specific details of low polling numbers and disenfranchised voters, Democrats are staring down the time-honored tradition of the president’s party losing seats, and often the majority in one or both houses of Congress, during the midterm election.

“Democrats just need to spend the next couple of weeks getting shit done, and if we can. I think we’ll be in pretty good stead for, for 2022,” he added.
