New book reveals SCOTUS justices 'locked in' their abortion decision after leak

While Americans still don't know, and probably never will, the person(s) behind the leak of the Supreme Court decision that would ultimately overturn Roe v. Wade, a new book on the unsolved mystery proves that if Democrat operatives were behind the leak, it backfired, big time.

According to the Washington Examiner, in an upcoming book, author Joan Biskupic wrote that any Supreme Court justices who might have been on the fence on the issue prior to the leak became fully committed to sticking by the decision after the unprecedented breach of security in what should be the most secure government institution.

In the book Nine Black Robes: Inside the Supreme Court's Drive to the Right and Its Historic Consequences, Biskupic explained that justices are allowed to change their mind on an opinion before and after it's circulated.

She wrote that there were conservative justices wavering on the decision, but the leak immediately changed that. They locked in.

The Examiner noted: "Biskupic reported the draft opinion was sent to justices in February, but when it was released in May, the debate stopped."

While the political affiliation of the person(s) who leaked Justice Samuel Alito's draft decision that overturned the federal abortion right is obviously unknown, some believe that someone on the left was the most likely culprit, with the intention of building intense public pressure that could have very well swayed a justice to change their mind.

That didn't work out too well.

After months of what we were told was an intense investigation, a culprit was not identified. Many believe that such findings are nonsense.

That's not an unreasonable position to take given that the Supreme Court presumably has access to the most advanced investigatory techniques available, including virtually unlimited resources.

The high court was already badly bruised due to there being a leak in the first place, which is all but unprecedented. But to fail to find the guilty party, to many, is completely unacceptable, and sounds more like an attempt to move the scandal well under the proverbial rug permanently.

An earlier report from the Examiner indicated that Republican lawmakers were unhappy, as they should be, with the results of the investigation into the leak.

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) has already floated the possibility of opening an investigation into the matter.

Only time will tell if we ever get the answers we deserve, but I wouldn't advise putting any money on that outcome.
