Gabby Petito told a Utah police officer that Brian Laundrie struck her on Aug. 12, according to a newly released bodycam video, though she later contradicted her own claim.
The recording offers evidence of an allegedly abusive relationship in the case that resulted in the death of Petito. Laundrie remains missing and the search continues for him nationwide.
Laundrie was last seen returning from Utah to Moab alone in Petito’s van. He bought a new cell phone, but later left it behind with his wallet and has now disappeared, according to a Fox News report.
