Nevada Democratic Lt. Gov. Kate Marshall has reportedly resigned her position to take a new role in the Biden White House.
The news of a new White House position follows Marshall’s resignation last month. Nevada Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak shared the news on Twitter in July.
“I am forever appreciative of the steadfast service, guidance & friendship Michelle & Scott have provided in my time as Governor. They have been with me from the start, & they have held the public’s interest at the forefront of what they do every day. I will miss them tremendously,” Sisolak wrote.

The Hill and other sources reported on Monday Marshall plans to serve as the White House’s senior adviser to governors. Details regarding her new role have not yet been released.

Marshall has reportedly been a long time Biden supporter and endorsed him in his run for president in 2020. Biden won the state of Nevada in a close content over the state’s electoral votes.
The new role will position Marshall in a key post that has long been left unfilled during the Biden administration. Her work will likely follow the policies of the administration, however, a concern to many conservatives fighting against Biden’s efforts in Washington.
