Country music legend Naomi Judd’s cause of death was confirmed as a suicide, in line with the statement issued by the Judd sisters.
Judd passed away Saturday at the age of 76.

“Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory,” Wynonna Judd wrote.

“On Sunday, the late country star and Wynonna — the singing duo known as The Judds — were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame,” The Daily Wire reported.
“Both daughters were at the ceremony and spoke emotionally about their mother, one day after her death,” it added.
The tragic news has once again led to a heightened discussion regarding the need to better address the issue of suicide, as well as encouraging those in crisis to seek help.
