President Joe Biden has created a disaster in Afghanistan. Now some are saying he needs to pay for those blunders with his job.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced articles of impeachment for Biden Friday, the Washington Examiner reported. Though the effort is likely to fail in the House of Representatives where Democrats have a majority, it captures an increasingly common sentiment.
“In seven short months, Joe Biden has caused America to lose the respect of the entire world,” the Georgia lawmaker said in a statement regarding Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan that has left the country in the hands of the Taliban. “The evidence is clear and his actions are so egregious that he must be impeached.”

Though there aren’t enough votes now, Democrats could lose their majority after the 2022 midterm elections. If that’s the case, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy could become the Speaker and would push for the measure in 2023.
“If Biden takes an illegal action, we would move impeachment,” the Republican from California said. “But we’re not going to move impeachment for political purposes.”
As angry as politicians are at Biden’s disastrous decision, the people who helped liberate the nation are livid. Robert O’Neill, a former member of U.S. Navy SEAL Team Six that killed Osama bin Laden, the al Qaeda leader and mastermind behind 9/11, ripped into Biden.
“I’m very, very angry because over 400 combat missions in so many different fields of combat, I have never once lost a fight,” O’Neill said in an interview Friday, according to the Daily Wire. “My team has never lost a fight. I don’t know any Marine who’s lost a fight, and that includes the Taliban,” he added.
“When we meet them face to face, we crush them. We were pretty good for the past four and a half years at impeaching a president for no reason,” O’Neill continued referring to the two efforts against former President Donald Trump. “If anything deserves an impeachment, it’s right now, because we don’t do this. We don’t ask the enemy for permission. We go in there. We crush them. We win every single time, and then we leave with our people,” he said.
Biden has let down the troops on the ground, the people who helped the U.S. during the two decades of military action in Afghanistan, and he has betrayed the veterans who fought all that time. He’s simply given up and let the enemy win — and for that, he should pay with his job.
