Migrants being allowed to pass through airport security without ID

Republican leaders are expressing concern over a report that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is allowing illegal immigrants to pass through airport security without identification.

The Daily Caller reported an email that “revealed that the national vetting center used by TSA processed over 42,000 non-citizens and non-U.S. nationals requesting document validation between the first of the year and mid-October.”

One Twitter user sarcastically wrote, “So if you find yourself at the airport without your driver’s license just tell them that you have violated immigration laws and entered the country illegally then you can get right on.”

On a more serious note, the report is concerning due to the security challenges it presents to Americans. The entire reason for strict airport security is to stop people from traveling illegally, the exact thing migrants without identification are doing.

The serious flaw must be addressed, and cannot be made into a partisan immigration issue. Americans either need the rules enforced, or let’s just stop doing it for everyone.
