Michelle Obama admits she "couldn't stand" her husband former President Barack Obama

Michelle Obama admitted she "couldn't stand" her husband, former President Barack Obama, for a decade, the Western Journal reported. The former first lady made these remarks during an interview with the Revolt network.

In a panel discussion, Michelle Obama revealed what it's been like in her 30 years of marriage. She used her experience to make a broader point about divorce and the tendency of young people to "give up" when things get tough.

However, it was received more like a dig at her famous husband. "We don’t talk about how much work is required and how hard it is even when you are madly in love with the person, even when everything works out right," Michelle Obama said.

"People think I’m being catty by saying this: It’s like, there were 10 years where I couldn’t stand my husband," Michelle Obama said. "And guess when it happened? When those kids were little," she added.

The couple has two daughters who are now grown, Malia, 24, and Sasha, 21. When Barack Obama was elected, the girls were 10 and 7, respectively.

Perhaps Michelle Obama was speaking about the White House years as those that were unhappy. "Little kids, they’re terrorists," Michelle Obama explained.

"They are. They have demands; they don’t talk; they’re poor communicators; they cry all the time; they’re irrational; they’re needy, and you love them more than anything," the former first lady added.

Michelle Obama went on to point out that the hectic time when the children were young added to her discontent. "For 10 years while we’re trying to build our careers and worrying about school and who’s doing what and what, I was like, ‘Argh, this isn’t even!'" Michelle Obama pointed out.

"And guess what? Marriage isn’t 50/50, ever. Ever. There are times, I’m 70, he’s 30. There are times he’s 60, 40," Michelle Obama conceded.

"But guess what? Ten years. We’ve been married 30. I would take 10 bad years over 30 — it’s just how you look at it. And people give up — ‘Five years; I can’t take it," Michelle Obama pointed out.

The Obamas have known each other since 1989. Both have enjoyed status, power, and wealth, with a net worth somewhere around $70 million. Still, Michelle Obama seems to be a malcontent in every area of life. Last month, while promoting her memoir "The Light We Carry," the former first lady said America "wasn't ready" for her natural hairstyle.

"Let’s get health care passed [first]. They tripped out when Barack wore a tan suit," Michelle Obama said about the supposed controversy that erupted when her husband chose a light-colored ensemble, the New York Post reported.

"The great indignity, the scandal of the Obama administration," she said, though this was the oft-cited fake scandal that the mainstream media used to ignore the real ones. "The code of ethics at a workplace, as black women, we deal with it, the whole thing about, ‘Do you show up with your natural hair?'"

Michelle Obama is right that it's difficult to raise children. However, she and her feminist ilk often have a seething resentment for their husbands by virtue of their value system -- and that's what makes the ideology so destructive to families.
