Melania Trump speaks to Fox News from Mar-a-Lago about her time as First Lady

Former first lady Melania Trump has kept herself largely out of the public eye since that fateful day in January when she and her husband, former President Donald Trump, flew away from Washington D.C. last year.

However, the reluctantly public former White House occupant is opening up about her experience being the First Lady, what it was like in the White House and whether she thinks she will ever be in that position again, saying that she would “never say never” about a second term.

Melania spoke to Fox News Channel from her home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, FL and spoke for the first time since leaving the White House about her time there

The interview aired on FNC’s “Fox & Friends Weekend,” and covered some deep issues for Melania, including how she felt with harsh criticism from the media, and how she feels about how the Biden administration family members are being treated.

Fox’s Pete Hegseth made note that the current first lady, Jill Biden, has already been featured on Vogue magazine’s cover at just over one year into the four-year term. This was curious to many, considering Melania’s history as a model and her previous magazine appearances.

The former first lady described her treatment by the media as “biased” and said that it was “obvious” they did not like former President Donald Trump or herself and encouraged her critics in the media “to help their own community” or join her Foster the Future initiative.

“They are biased,” Trump replied. “And they have likes and dislikes. And it’s so obvious. And I think American people and everyone sees it. It was their decision, and I have much more important things to do, and I did in the White House than being on the cover of Vogue.”

“[P]eople I see always criticize me whatever I do, and I’m used to that,” she added. “I move forward, and I’m here to help the people, and that is the mission. And those people who criticize me, I would encourage them to help their own community or join to Foster the Future initiative.”
