Stephanie Grisham, former President Donald Trump’s press secretary, has reportedly spilled the beans about what the Secret Service called former First Lady Melania Trump while she was living at the White House, according to The Daily Caller.
Grisham says in her upcoming book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now,” that the presidential security detail reportedly nicknamed Melania “Rapunzel,” according to a piece published by The Washington Post Wednesday.
While the Disney Princess call sign sounds adorable on its face, Grisham wondered if there was more to it than a nod to the former first lady’s ever immaculate hair, since the story of “Rapunzel” is one of a beautiful woman trapped in a tower.
Melania Trump was reportedly early on the move, to the point that, according to Grisham, agents requested her detail so they could spend more time with their family at home.
There was seldom a change that happened around the Trumps in Washington that spelled a positive reaction for the Trump family, and it wouldn’t be far-fetched for conservatives to wonder if the same were the case here.
However, it appears that the former First Lady herself might have an objection to the book being written about her time in the White House by the former first lady’s longtime press representative.
Melania’s office responded to the book saying that this piece was nothing more than an attempt by Grisham to “redeem herself” following a “failed” relationship and “poor performance” in her role as press secretary to Trump.
“The intent behind this book is obvious,” Melania’s office said following a report about a passage that reportedly compares the former first lady to Marie Antoinette.
Grisham stepped down from her post as White House Press Secretary during the conflict over the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riots.
