The CEO of Mcdonald's is warning that growing crime in Chicago is leading to trouble getting workers to return to its headquarters.
Chris Kempczinski told city leaders on Wednesday that part of the concern is fear of riding mass transit over increased crime.

"Everywhere I go, I'm confronted by the same question: 'What's going on in Chicago?'" Kempczinski said at the Economic Club of Chicago on Wednesday.
"There is a general sense out there that our city is in crisis," he added.

The company has no plans of leaving Chicago, but three large companies have announced plans to exit downtown this year, including CItadel, which is moving to Miami. Boeing is moving to Arlington, Virginia, while Caterpillar is moving to Dallas, Texas.
The increase in crimes has been a concern for businesses and residents. With increases in robberies and other violent crimes, more people are talking about leaving the nation's third-largest city for safer locations as the city's problems continue.
