House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was ranked the most popular leader in Congress, outranking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and others, according to a new Politico/Morning Consult survey.
However, all leaders in the survey had a high unfavorable rating in the poll. McCarthy had 51 percent who held him unfavorably, compared to 45 percent who viewed him favorably.
In comparison, Pelosi was ranked 55 percent unfavorably. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) also held high unfavorable numbers.
McCarthy has focused on wanting America to win. This includes controlling spending and inflation, becoming energy independent again and securing the southern border.
