McAuliffe appearing to small crowds as Youngkin excels in final days before election

With just a week until the Virginia election for governor, current Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe is finding only small crowds at campaign events while Republican Glenn Youngkin seems to grow in popularity.

Associated Press reported Steve Peoples offered a photo from a Wednesday event that shared one recent example.

A later event the same day at the University of Lynchburg showed another small crowd.

The same day, Youngkin spoke to a massive audience during the day in Roanoke.

“Hello Roanoke!! Our momentum is unmatched across the Commonwealth, and Virginians can’t wait to win. Thank you to everyone who voted early today!” he tweeted.

Another large crowd this week showed up for Youngkin in Danville.

The vote is what counts, but recent momentum appears to be on Youngkin’s side in the final days leading to the ballot box.
