Matt Gaetz pushing resolution that will force President Biden to reveal if American troops are on the ground in Ukraine

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) will push for a resolution that would compel President Joe Biden to share whether there are American boots on the ground in Ukraine, an exclusive Breitbart report shared. This comes after a Pentagon leak revealed more than two dozen Defense Department officials are in the country despite claims to the contrary.

Biden has insisted that America's involvement in the conflict has not included sending personnel. However, at least 29 people, including 14 who are special operatives, are reportedly in Ukraine to monitor the conflict.

Gaetz wants to get to the bottom of it and compel Biden to release the actual number of Americans involved. “The Biden Administration and other allied countries have been misleading the world on the state of the Ukraine war," Gaetz told Breitbart News in a statement on Monday.

“There must be total transparency from this administration to the American people when they seem to be gambling war with a nuclear adversary by having special forces operating in Ukraine,” he said. Biden has stated he isn't interested in fighting "World War III" and, therefore, wouldn't send troops.

However, the new revelations will force the president and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to come clean to the House of Representatives. If the resolution passes, they would need to disclose full military plans for Ukraine, including deployments of U.S. personnel.

"I represent a congressional district with the highest concentration of active-duty military personnel," Gaetz explained. "I come from a community where the protection of this type of classified information that was leaked can be life or death for family members and my constituents," he added.

"My Privileged Resolution of Inquiry will better inform the Congress and the country on the true state of our military’s involvement in the war," Gaetz said. Previously, the Florida lawmaker demanded accountability for the $113 billion the Biden administration has forked over since the conflict began in February 2022.

Perhaps the administration would still have been denying that more than just American money was being sent overseas had it not been for a man named Jack Teixeira who allegedly initiated the leak. The 21-year-old National Guardsman shared secret military photos and documents on the social media platform Discord, the Associated Press reported.

As a cyber transport systems journeyman, Teixeira had access to the classified materials. At first, the Pentagon sought to downplay the issue by keeping quiet on the veracity of what Teixeira posted.

However, that narrative has been blown out of the water, considering Teixeira was arrested for the "sin" of "telling the truth," Fox News's Tucker Carlson said of the situation. "That's how Washington works. Telling the truth is the only real sin," Carlson said.

Carlson pointed out how the documents Teixeira shared painted a very different picture of the war between Ukraine and Russia. "Fourteen months in, they are simultaneously telling you that Ukraine's victory is inevitable, mostly because of the moral power they possess, but at the same time, you need to send tens or hundreds of billions of dollars more in advanced weapons systems to Ukraine to keep them from losing," Carlson pointed out.

"What will they say now that we know the truth and that we know that they lied to us, not just the U.S. government, but the U.S. news media?" Perhaps Gaetz's resolution will settle the matter once and for all.

The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is a money pit opened up by our elected officials. If they're hiding the truth of possible boots on the ground, this could constitute a crime -- and Biden must reveal the truth.
