Lindsey Graham calls on DHS Chief to resign

President Joe Biden and his administration have allowed unchecked illegal immigration since day one of his presidency. Now one situation has them up in arms — but they’re focused on the wrong side of the problem.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas “incompetent” and called for his resignation, the Daily Caller reported.  Graham made these remarks Thursday on Fox News’s “The Story” with host Martha MacCallum.

As thousands of Haitian immigrants flood the border, the Biden administration has done nothing to stem the tide and Mayorkas has not done his job. However, based on a false internet rumor that agents on horseback were whipping people, Democrats suddenly cared about the crisis and have focused on the agents instead.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) spoke out against these agents as “cowboys” instead of the numbers of illegal aliens who are unvetted and currently being let into the country. “She sees them as the bad guys,” Lindsay said.

“Here’s what I want to say to the American people,” the Senator continued. “The man on horseback is there to protect your family. The people rushing our border have put us all under siege,” Graham said.

“And I think the most inhumane thing going on right now in America is the men and women of the Border Patrol have been completely abandoned, demagogued, scapegoated and treated like dirt by elected officials and the Democratic Party and this administration,” he continued. “So, I’m not unhappy, I’m p—ed,” Graham said.

“Secretary Mayorkas needs to resign,” Graham charged. “He’s completely incompetent. The border is not closed. It’s been surrendered.”

Graham is right that Mayorkas needs to lose his job over this situation. Moreover, he’s spot on that Democrats are focused on the wrong side of the issue – it’s not the Border Patrol agents who are dangerous, but the people they are pursuing.
