Lightning strike kills 3, critically injures 1 near White House lawn

In a bizarre attack near the White House last week, three people were killed and one seriously injured.

According to the Daily Caller, the attack wasn’t the result of bad guys; rather, it was initiated by Mother Nature, as it was a lightning strike that took the lives of the three people involved and injured one other.

The outlet noted: “Two people from Wisconsin — James Mueller, 76, and Donna Mueller, 75 — were among those that died of the injuries they sustained in connection to lightning striking near a tree in Lafayette Park.”

Reportedly, the third person who was killed was a 29-year-old man, and his identity is being held until his next-of-kin has been properly notified.

“Being a doctor working in an emergency unit, I ran over and tried to help,” said Alexander Brands, a doctor from Germany visiting the nation’s capital. The doctor performed chest compressions on the victims and helped U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Park Police officers until ambulances arrived.

The White House reacted to the bizarre, tragic event, with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying, “Our hearts are with the families who lost loved ones, and we are praying for those still fighting for their lives.”

Reuters, a left-leaning mainstream media news outlet, was brutally mocked on social media after running a headline about the story suggesting that the lightning strike — a phenomenon that has happened since the dawn of time — was a result of “climate change.”
