Legendary rapper Dr. Dre hospitalized after suffering brain aneurysm

Many of us probably thought that 2021 couldn’t possibly become any worse than 2020, but it’s certainly not off to a good start for many reasons.

One of those reasons was the breaking news alert from TMZ indicating that legendary rapper Dr. Dre suffered a brain aneurysm and was immediately rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he was admitted to an intensive care unit on Tuesday.

Initial reports indicated that the 55-year-old music legend was lucid and stable after being attended to by doctors, though they’re not sure at this point what caused the aneurysm in the first place.

The Grammy-winning artist, who was born Andre Romelle Young, issued a statement to his millions of fans from the hospital, indicating that he was feeling fine while expressing gratitude for all of the well wishes pouring in from around the world.

“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!” Dre wrote on Instagram.

According to CNet, fellow rapper LL Cool J, a friend of Dre’s, indicated in a Tuesday tweet that “Dre is recovering nicely.”

As Dre remained in the hospital to hopefully fully recover from the medical scare, Fox News reported that a group of four attempted burglars was arrested after they attempted to rob the famous musician’s home while he was away from his residence.

According to an LAPD spokesperson, private security in the swanky neighborhood spotted the gang of potential robbers and notified police. It was originally believed that the group attempted to break into Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ nearby home.

The four suspects were charged with attempted burglary and were found to be carrying knapsacks full of various tools of the trade, such as crowbars and saws.

    1. I agree Dr. who ?? anyway the article states an aneurysm. An aneurysm is a week spot in an artery /vein , in nursing school it was described as a tire tube with a weak spot that eventually blows out. shows my age people would say what is a tire tube ??

  1. Second brain aneurysm this week. A newly elected GOP member was the first. Dr. Dre wasn’t a republcan was he?

  2. Any rapper that lives to see 55 is amazing. Most die young as they either get shot or OD on drugs. Rap is crap and hard to call it music. Just a bunch of nonsensical lyrics and messages that are full of hatred for police and civility.

  6. Thanks for posting this post. I’m undeniably frustrated with struggling to search out relevant and brilliant commentary on this subject. Everybody now goes to the very far extremes to either drive home their viewpoint that either: everyone else in the planet is wrong, or two that everyone but them does not really understand the situation. Many thank you for your succinct, applicable insight.
